Why Study Enterprise Systems?
Enterprise Systems are large and sophisticated IT systems that support the key business activities, information, technology, and data requirements of an entire organization. Enterprise Systems are comprised of state-of-the-art technologies used by large global companies, such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Business Intelligence, and Artificial Intelligence. Developing and sustaining enterprise systems not only require IT knowledge, but also an understanding of business, e-business, project management, and change management.
There is considerable demand for Enterprise Systems graduates from government agencies, traditional organizations, and especially leading IT consulting companies. Enterprise Systems professionals are technology-savvy business specialists whose primary function is to help organizations apply the latest technologies in order to solve business problems and/or take advantage of business opportunities. Enterprise Systems professionals work closely with senior managers, business functional managers, employees, suppliers, and customers to identify critical business needs and opportunities, and then apply technology to help address these needs and opportunities.
