This Wednesday, November 19th, the Swap Shop will be taking place. This is an event put on by students that encourages reusing and recycling unused items and disposing properly of hard to recycle items.
Where? The former C4U on the second floor of the Bloomfield center just outside of the Bloomfield Cafe.
When? November 19th from 9:00am until 4:00pm.
Can't make it but still want to recycle or donate items? On November 18th we will have drop off hours from 7:00pm-9:00pm in the former C4U.
How it works? On the 19th, we will be accepting functional and non-function items to be "swapped" or recycled. Whether you donate items or not, all are welcome to look through the functional items that have been donated and take what they need!
What items to bring for swapping? Here are gently used items we'll be accepting to be swapped or donated:
School supplies: binders, rulers, calculators, pencil cases etc.
Household items: decorations, hangers, lamps, chargers or computer supplies, etc.
Kitchen appliances or goods like dishes, pots and pans, kettles, toasters, etc.
What items to bring for recycling? We can recycle almost all of the harder to recycle items such as electronics, old kitchen appliances and household items.
Not sure if your item can be recycled by us? Send an email to @email OR send a DM to our Instagram account (stfx_swapshop).
We hope to see you there, and happy swapping!
