Dr. Fikir Haile is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Politics at Acadia University. She obtained her PhD from the Department of Political Studies at Queen’s University, where she specialized in International Relations and Political Theory. Fikir’s research is located at the intersection of African Political Economy, International Political Economy, and Urban Economy/Ecology. Her research focuses on the inter-scalar governance of urban transformations in the African continent, with a focus on Ethiopia. Her work has appeared in the Review of International Political Economy, Urban Geography, and Journal of Development Studies.
