Schwartz Business Programs
The Gerald Schwartz School of Business puts students on the fast track to careers in a wide range of business capacities, and we are known to produce some of the world’s most influential business and industry leaders. All delivered from state-of-the-art facilities on a beautifully-intimate campus.
The Schwartz Building is a state-of-the-art teaching and learning space for StFX business students. Features of this space include a financial trading room, modern computer labs, a student lounge, numerous breakout rooms, student research labs and offices, teaching space of various configurations, and an art gallery.
At the Gerald Schwartz School of Business, students graduate with the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to become effective contributors to a variety of organizational types (including for-profit, not-for-profit, entrepreneurial start-ups, and the public sector) or to begin graduate studies. The Gerald Schwartz School of Business offers a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in a variety of business areas, a Postbaccalaureate Diploma in Enterprise IT Management, and a Minor in Sports Management.

Schwartz BBA and Post Bac. Programs
Our business programs combine the acquisition of conceptual knowledge with applied and experiential learning approaches that include work terms, projects, presentations, simulations, field trips, class discussions, case analyses, lectures, readings, films, guest speakers, service learning, and much more.
The Gerald Schwartz School of Business offers majors, advanced majors and honours streams in the following areas:
Department of Accounting and Finance
Provides the data on which business decisions regarding profitability, sustainability and wealth are made.
Provides students with the tools to evaluate how to make investment decisions and finance the same.
Department of Management
Explores the strategic and human dimensions of business, like creating a work environment where people can thrive and accomplish goals responsibly.
Provides the competencies needed to start, develop and/or manage a small business venture, and learn the skills that are in demand by growth industries.
Provides the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in an international business environment and gain a global perspective.
Department of Marketing and Enterprise Systems
Helps organizations understand customer perceptions of value and how to create, communicate, and deliver that value better than the competition.
Equips students with the critical knowledge and practical skills to design, develop, and manage large technology systems for global organizations.
Postbaccalaureate Diploma Program
A 2-year diploma program focused on designing, deploying and managing enterprise systems solutions in organizations.
Sport Management Minor
Prepares business students for careers working with sport organizations (recreational and elite) and communities.
