The Alumni Chapter of the Year Award is intended to honour the Chapter as a whole. It signifies outstanding loyalty, commitment and support to the University in all or one of the following: Alumni events, mentorship, recruitment, and/or student receptions.

2025 Recipient: Yarmouth Chapter

For the third time in four years, the StFX Alumni Association is proud to recognize the Yarmouth Chapter as Chapter of the Year for its outstanding leadership, consistency, and community-driven alumni engagement.

The chapter brings the Xaverian spirit to life through meaningful social connection, thoughtful outreach, and ongoing support for local organizations, creating opportunities for alumni to connect while making a positive impact close to home.

At the heart of this success is Maureen Duffy-Mason ’78, whose passion and leadership are the driving force behind the chapter’s momentum. As chapter president, Maureen is the heartbeat of the Yarmouth Chapter. The way she brings people together inspires participation and strengthens pride in the StFX experience.

Through creativity, care, and commitment, the Yarmouth Chapter continues to set the standard for alumni engagement, making it a deserving recipient of Chapter of the Year once again.
