Biography:

Dr. Vijay Kumar Vishwakarma joined STFX in Fall 2008. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting and Finance at the Gerald Schwartz School of Business. He received his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of New Orleans (New Orleans, USA). He has also received an M.S in Finance & Economics from the University of New Orleans and an MBA, B.Sc (Hons)- Physics, and M.Sc (Hons) - Physics from India.

Dr. Vijay Kumar Vishwakarma teaches Introductory Financial Management, Cases in Financial Management, Advanced Financial Management, International Financial Management, Financial Statement Analysis, Investments, and Derivatives. His main research interests revolve around Financial econometrics, Real Estate, Agency issues, Mergers & Acquisitions and Options in emerging markets. He is a frequent presenter at national and international conferences of finance. He is an active reviewer for various journals and conferences.
